Historical Preservation in Trinidad

Featured in today's NYTimes home section, is this adorable house. I believe the Embassy in Port of Spain is located in the same neighborhood but lacks charm. We expect to live in a Miami-style high-rise with no gingerbread trim.

It's just a couple of houses down from the embassy, in fact. I've walked and driven by it hundreds of times in the 13 months we've been here. It's particularly unfortunate that it could be a nice house if someone was willing to maintain it.
And the Times story was right that few people seem to care what happens to it. I'm not surprised it hasn't sold for the amount they're asking, though.
